I had my operation and i have no pain at all in my legs now, but i am still a bit sore but i just had the operation on thursday. i went in on wednesday had the operation on thursday and out on friday.

Still in pain

Hi everyone
I have been back at work now for six weeks (on a phased return, but now back full time). Unfortunately, I sit at a computer all day long, and although I try to get up and walk around as much as possible, I end each day in a lot of pain down the back of my leg - along the nerve. I am in pain most of the day and very uncomfortable all evening - unable to settle. I am at my wits' end.

Pain after microdiscectomy

Hi
I am new to this site.

I had quite bad backache for three weeks in November 2008 which I managed with Neurofen - two when I reached work, two at lunchtime and then a reasonable afternoon. On 21.11.08 I was getting dressed for work when the pain shot down my leg and how I got to work I will never know. I was on a course and spent the day on painkillers, sitting on my left side and trying not to let my right side touch the chair.
