Sorry about that! I thought it was your comment. Anyway, I'm glad that acupuncture and cupping work well together for you. I hope you find all the relief you need. Best wishes and many blessings,
Sakinah
I hope you are well and that things are improving. I have not tried hypnotherapy. I also did not find physiotherapy to be of any use, as it's not a problem of retraining the muscles or rebuilding strengthen until the disc has actually fully repaired. Acupuncture has worked wonders for me. Just several weeks ago I had a severe relapse and was lying in bed all weekend in pain. I finally called up a new acupuncturist I had a contact for (I am new to town and the first acupuncturist I saw didn't do the work I sought) and within a couple days I was functioning much better. In fact, I walked out of the office much straighter after my treatment. There are good acupuncturists, you just have to seek them out, but don't give up on the treatment, it helps with the severe, about to push you over the edge, nerve pain. I've had two sessions a week for the past three weeks and I'm doing so much better.
Another thing I found to be helpful is actually a supplement called Baxl (in the USA), which contains bioactive hyaluronan, which is a molecule similar to sinovial fluid, the fluid that runs through all your joints. I found relief just by adding this supplement to my daily life.
As always, follow your instincts and talk to your doctors. But be proactive above all.
I finally saw an osteopath the week I went for acupuncture after my severe relapse and he said I should get epidural injections immediately because of the level of inflammation. I plan to return to him soon for advice, however I doubt I will need the injections.
Another thing to consider is the power of the mind and the spirit in healing. I know people are looking for concrete advice by medical experts, but a change in attitude can really help. There is so much about the body's ability to heal that doctors don't understand. I recommend reading "Spontaneous Healing" by Dr. Andrew Weil.
Best wishes and many blessings. I hope you get the pain under control soon.
Many thanks for joining this social network. It's still in its infancy as you can see but hopefully it will continue to grow and I'm glad you wish to be a part of it.
