had op yay bit concerned

Hi all, sorry its been so long but at last i have had the discectomy last saturday, was sent home sunday which was a bit scary as i have 21 staples in my back lol, all was well the beggining of the week apart from being a bit up and down emotionally i had no pain in my leg and just uncomfortable sensation in my back, but guys im a bit worried now as something has happened and i am not sure if it is normal or not, as i understood it my sciatic nerve was trapped and so when they operated they took the pressure off of the nerve, however for the last couple of days i have had pain from my buttock to the back of my knee much like before but not travelling all the way down to my foot as before, does anyone know if this is normal? im terrified i be back at beggining again :(

i hope someone out there can advise and i hope my friends here are all doing well
