hey all, i just wanted to do a blog to see if anyone else is experiencing an issue i have at the moment due to prolapsed disc does anyone else here suffer from swelling? my legs and feet are horrifically swollen to the point they feel like they are going to burst, i have had blood tests and all that came back was that i am anemic so have been put on iron, also been on water retention tablets and they havent made any difference, is this a common problem with prolapsed discs? still waiting for 2 appointments and am on the lowest of the low.

hey charlotte..i have suffered this also however never swollen to extent you are...i was put on water pills too..i get to the stage where my feet are so sore that can,t walk on them as so painful especially the ankles and soles of the feet..back to baby steps..
my pain been average of late and still no hospital appointment to see surgeon when im having surgery...
my own doc on holiday now for two weeks so be nearer three before i can see him again...however he telephoned me before he left for hols to let me know he has pushed hospital for appointment and if possible shortlist me...
you certainly having a time of it..one women i know had to wait 4/ and half yrs to get sorted so our system is definatley gone to the dogs..
i was advised to keep my feet up and rest when swollen but hard to do sometimes when you have a house to keep going...not so long back i let mine go to pot as i was fed up trying to motivate myself and having to sit in pain 24/7..
i hope things have improved a bit for you since your blog and look forward too hearing from you..
